Kenny Wayne Shepherd is an American blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his fiery guitar playing and modern revival of electric blues. He showed extraordinary musical talent at a young age and quickly became one of the most prominent young guitarists of the 1990s blues revival.
Shepherd rose to fame with his 1995 debut album Ledbetter Heights, which featured the hit song Deja Voodoo and went platinum in the United States. Blending classic blues influences with a modern rock edge, he has built a strong reputation as a virtuosic guitarist.
Over his career, Shepherd has released multiple successful albums with the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, earning several Blues Music Awards and multiple Grammy Awards nominations. Known for energetic live performances and technical guitar skill, he remains a major figure in contemporary blues and blues-rock.
